About us
A clearer view of the numbers behind everyday life in the UK.
CalcBrit brings together free calculators for pay, mortgages, savings, household costs, business and everyday maths. Our aim is to make a calculation easier to understand before you make a decision.
Built around the question you have
Whether you are checking a payslip, planning a house deposit or comparing an energy cost, you should be able to enter your own figures and see what the result includes. Our 205 calculators are organised by topic, with worked examples, formulas and links to related tools.
UK rules, with the differences explained
Where a calculation depends on UK legislation or published rates, we link to official sources and show the date or tax year used. Where rules differ between England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland, the relevant tools include a country selector or explain their coverage.
Prices and investment returns vary. Editable example figures are illustrations, not promises, product quotes or local market averages. We do not use a location lookup to guess your costs.
Clear workings and useful limits
We explain the assumptions behind each estimate. Calculators and money guides provide general information; they do not replace personalised financial, tax, legal or other professional advice.
Our data and methodology page explains the sources and scope of the tools. A published rule can change, so check the date and source before relying on a result.
Help us improve CalcBrit
If a result looks wrong, please contact us with the page address, your non-sensitive example inputs and what you expected to see. You can also suggest a new calculator or tell us where an explanation could be clearer.
